Please don't. Think of the truck driver's mental health and ptsd after hitting you. It's gruesome and it would hurt as well. If you're going to ctb, ctb in a way that it won't harm others.

No, it's a bad idea because you risk hurting or killing the driver. There's also possible collateral damage from other drivers on the road

It's very likely they would try and swerve which could cause them to lose control of their vehicle. Plus, that driver would have to live with thinking they killed somebody for the rest of their life. Don't involve others in your CTB.

I considered this for a pretty long time before abandoning it. You always need to consider - what is the worst (realistic) thing that could happen? As others have mwntioned the driver, in trying to miss you, could lose cont6rol on the vehicle and get killed, and then you could go to prison. It is not worth this risk.

No. I walked into heavy on coming traffic was hit by a car and, obviously, didn't die. Afterwards I felt horrible for not considering the driver of the car. I am thankful that she was okay and the only damage to her car was a dented hood and a cracked windshield. I will never chose a method that could possibly cause the death of someone else again.

As a truck driver myself, the worst thing that can happen is not our own death, but the deaths of several other motorists in the event of losing control of the vehicle. Even if no one is around, a truck overturned in the middle of the road is a major hazard for oncoming high speed traffic.

Not long ago, there was a bus driver who lost control of his vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a kangaroo, and 2 deaths resulted.

I'm no fan of the train method, but it does at least bypass those issues.

Yes, a train is better, though it has its own issues- ex. risk of amputations and survivial or paralysis and survival. BUt a train is better than a trucj. Other methods do not have these issues.

Ctb throwing yourself in front of a truck and a good idea?
1. You are going to traumatize that poor driver, possibly for life.
2. It is possible that others may die or become injured.
3. You may not even die from this attempt. You could end up with a mangled body, or worse.

Exactly what I wanted to post. I have PTSD and don't want to 'give' that to others or be the cause of it.

That's why my method is simply die in my sleep at home , and don't bother hospitals with their covid19 busy stuff. And give ass less as possible people a bad aftertaste.

Peace be with you

No. Definitely not.
The driver would probably be held liable one way or another.
They'd have to live with whatever it was they saw.
Plus one big smash/crunch probably wouldn't feel too good.

I'm noticing that trains were mentioned and as someone who once sat on a train that couldn't take me to school because someone chose to ctb by train: don't. Not only are there also people driving these trains that have to live with that, but all the passengers may get traumatized.

aside from what everyone else has said about how it affects the driver, think about fast impacts the same as jumping off of a tall building: if you hit it wrong or you dont hit it fast enough, you live. That can happen a lot more easily with walking into traffic since there are so many factors like other cars and how the driver reacts

Just wanted to share this video from a crime scene cleanup crew dealing with such an incident. I don't like to discorage people from methods as its ultimately your decision but involving innocent truck/train drivers should be avoided wherever possible.
