I'm going to try drowning one last time tonight. If that fails, I'll try partial again tomorrow. And if that fails, I'm going to play all my cards and just set myself on fire. I know it'll be painful, but it's what I have to do. I can't get SN, I can't get a gun, and I can't drink all of my problems away.
This site is an amazing place. People could learn so much from this site, whether it's to end their own misery or to help understand suicidal people. This is such a nice community- I don't know any of you especially well, but everyone on this site is kinder and more understanding than almost everyone else I've met. I hope everyone accomplishes what they want to.
On another note, I hope I get to finally die. My dad's going to be pretty mad at me, though.

Whatever choice you make, I truly hope you dont go with the last option out of desperation. That has to be horribly painful and nobody deserves to suffer like that in their final moments.

I would give hanging more than a day of practice before giving up and lighting myself on fire. That's all flavors of scary.

Self-immolation is a terrifying way to go out. I know there's that famous picture of a monk on fire, but even he had to know how much it sucked no matter how at peace he was with it.

That being said, I'm sorry you found yourself in a position considering that as a method. And I hope, for your sake, whatever method you choose is at least peaceful in some respect and that you find the kind of calm that monk had in his final moments.

As much as I wish you peace from your troubles, I have to be honest. The methods you've mentioned have a high failure rate. It's incredibly difficult to drown yourself because of SI. Partial hanging is pointless because of the fact that you can just stand up. Most people who set themselves on fire survive, suffering horribly in hospital after their clothes melt into their skin. If you really want out, choose a more practical method like full suspension for instance.

I don't have a good place for full suspension from, besides a chandelier. I'm still not sure if that would work.
Based on the responses in this thread, I'm guessing that setting myself on fire is might be a bad idea, so I might have to reconsider that one. With my luck, I can probably count on the worse case scenario.

Geez, don't try self immolation. It fails more often than you would think; by fail I mean severe burns that may lead to a protracted death.
