By myself. Don't want to have a bad outcome because partner wasn't stable enough to do their part or causes issues. My setup is only for one anyway as my tank has 2.5x the amount of nitrogen for one person but not enough if another person wastes the gas at the same time. The nitrogen method is easier than I thought and parts plus gas not hard to obtain.

If I'm going to kill myself I would definitely do it completely by myself. The only person I would want to die with is my partner and he has too much of a will to live and fear of death to likely ever take his own life.

In 50 years I've never considered ctb with another person. I'd have to know the other person first. Trust them to not screw things up.

This is what sold me on the notion of trying to find a partner. I mean, I haven't been able to find a partner in life so the odds are not good that I could find one in death... but it would be nice to have some semblance of companionship in my final moments. Even if it is fleeting and temporary and then I'm gone, at least for one tiny moment i could get a taste of not being alone, maybe.

Probably alone. And impulsively. Going with a partner requires extensive planning and prepping. Emotions also get involved. Good chance of failure and survival instinct kicking in.

I understand the partner approach is often to have someone there to provide support, comfort and companionship in your final moments, not necessarily to CTB as well themselves at the same time.
A bit like what a hospice nurse might do.
Why they would do this for a stranger or someone they have only met recently just for this purpose is not so well understood, perhaps.

It's risky for them as if they are sought and found afterwards by the authorities, assisting someone to die is illegal or at best strictly controlled in most countries, and this can open them up to prosecution for very serious criminal charges.
In the UK people have been prosecuted and ended up in prison for helping their terminally ill partners end their lives, when the authorities and the law only forces them to carry on in extreme suffering with no hope of any improvement, as if any semblance of life must be clung on to at any cost. and we are not able or permitted to have any say in this ourselves. It's a nonsense for sure.

Having someone there is something I have considered, but I would probably go alone though mostly for simplicity.

Alone. I've heard that there have been cases where the partner actually doesn't want to go through with it, but will ctb with you due to guilt, emotional pressure or any other reason. I wouldn't want someone taking their own life because of me.

CTB with a partner sounds comforting, but it's nothing more than a wish. It would be impossible for me to find someone, so I'll go alone. I'm okay with that too lol
