  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

is there anything i can do to ease the minds of the crew and possible passengers? like some sort of note on my body? i do not think that they deserve to suffer because i cant go on living but this is the only method i have available to me really. i think only freight trains go near my house and i cannot travel very far because i am poor jobless and carless. is a freight train good enough to sever your head if you lay your head on the tracks for possibly a more clean and risk free death? i plan on doing it in the winter because i often have more energy in the winter (whether good or bad) and waiting for a train is exhausting in the summer.

I don't think so. It could really mess them up. It's a really brutal way to go too.

We had a case in our county in recent Years. The lady died and the train driver was utterly traumatised. He never recovered and ctb Years later leaving a young family to cope alone. Very sad story.

That's terrible. @neverbeenbetter, I know you're hurting but you don't want something like that to happen, right? I hope you'll reconsider this method for the sake of yourself and others.

I have read that putting one head is the way to go. However, I am aware there is videos of people who have done it. This method should be highly planned and investigated. As to make it easier for them, I think most people will forget about it quickly, that is usually how humans are (they are very indifferent to other people suffering or if they passed).

Such methods would not be necessary if more peaceful & private options were not actively banned.

If you can choose, it is best to use a cargo train, so you directly affect fewer people, but I do not think that is your case, otherwise you would have already considered it.

Speaking of the driver, in some countries if a person is run over in a clear suicide act they receive a month off with pay. Veteran machinists tend to deal with it better in the long run. Some end up tormenting themselves, but this is less likely if it is someone who has been in the profession for a long time. I focus on them because they are the most affected in these cases by sheer impotence, since they are the first to understand that they can't stop the train in time.

Logically, how r they affected by this? Yes it's gruesome. Burn it was clearly not the engine drivers fault in any shape or form. I don't see engine drivers going berserk after every obstacle they hit on the tracks (vehicle wise). Tho it's probably the same.
