It's just a question I have been thinking about. But I'm curious to know if you would ctb at sunset or sunrise specifically. Personally, I would do it at sunrise, night has just passed, and so have I, you know?

I'd do it at sunset but I don't plan to do that. I'll just go at night

Sunset would be more poetic, the day is coming to an end, as well as your suffering.

Sunrise would be my choice. Quieter, calmer.

Edit: and it would be a nice 'fuck you' to the rising sun and the brand new day.

sunset but preferably night time because more people are sleeping + its dark so less likely to be found in time to be saved.

Sunset, the sky is full of colors as the sun slowly sets on your life. Very poetic. And once the night comes you will become one with the darkness.

It's an excellent question. For SN, the best way to take it is supposedly on an empty stomach, so as a practical matter when living with others, I'd probably drink SN a couple hours before I'd normally get out of bed.

Sundown, dusk, twilight and the onset of darkness is poetic, but maybe dawn and sunrise are the most optimistic, for ushering in a better future. (For atheists, a better future could well be nothing, over ongoing pain and suffering.) However, if avoiding discovery is a concern, then darkness is often necessary.

Good point. Being caught isn't a worry for me. I really made this thread so I can help make my decision on when I would do it. To me it's anytime from sundown to sunrise. I do prefer late night to early morning. But sunrise sounds poetic to me, the night has passed, and so have I. Night is typically associated with darkness, and I think of myself in a negative way. So to myself it makes sense.

My own set of circumstances kind of force me to do it at sundown because I live in a house with other people.

If I got to choose, then sunset. It's the "sunset" of my hell of a "day", I suppose, and I'd be less likely to procrastinate.

Considering my circumstances, I'd probably go with sunset or late at night, that way I'd have several hours to myself where nobody would think to check on me (not that they do during the day, really, but it's more likely if they need to tell/ask me something.) Plus, I guess it seems to make sense. It would almost be like going to bed like normal.
