I find that I am either completely emotionally blunted and unable to express anything, or crying inconsolably these days.

Does anyone else experience this?

Yes, I'm usually all or nothing. Either extremely emotional or not at all.

I put up an expressionless face in public and when I'm alone have major crying sessions.

definitely, my mind just jumps from extreme anxiety and depression to a state that i can only describe as completely numbness, then the next day i'm relatively calm for a couple hours just to go back to the same routine over and over.

the worst part is, i don't know what's worse. crying all day or feeling nothing at all, it is just so exhausting.

I find it happens at the most inconvenient times. I'll be completing some mundane task, grocery shopping for instance. A wave of panic and sadness will hit me, without warning. And I tear up. All I can do is stop what I'm doing and head for a private spot and wait for it to pass as I tremble and weep like a lost child.

I feel like I am reaching my limit. I am struggling to leave the house - which I don't particularly care about - but my dog is suffering because of it. I don't trust myself to be out in public and not start crying over nothing

Grocery shopping makes me feel like crying all the time due to social anxiety. But recently I was shocked and horrified when I started crying upon seeing a parade (yes, a parade) pass by.

I don't cry at all anymore, though I'd like to be able to. It would certainly be a better way to release emotions than to self harm lol

only so much we could hold inside. i try and avoid social interaction, even in school last year and when school starts this year cause ill completely break down. times i really really did give in and interacted socially during my emotional episodes, sadly ppl saw through me and began to be concerned for me, including at work.

All the time! When I go into a depression swing it starts with the inconsolable crying; when I get REALLY low i am completely numb

I also pity my dog because of my lack of functioning. He loves long walks, but I just can't manage...

Oddly enough, it's only gotten really bad for me since I stopped self harming. Weird

If you have access to gabapentin you can use that and it can help you get emotional/cry in a natural feeling way. I'm sure there's other drugs that can do it too.

I am currently buzzed on pregabalin. It's put my suicidal thoughts on the back burner for now. I'm still having little cries, but they feel different. Anything on the GABA receptors can work (temporary) wonders
