In order to protect anyone close to you from the pain of thinking they may have missed something, or worse, what are the things you should get rid of or delete from your computer etc (or just generally) in order to make it not look like you'd clearly been planning to ctb for a while?

Hm, if you really wanna do it proper I'd just exchange the hard drive/SSD flat out and basically do some pointless rubbish on the new one. Then format your older one several times or or plain destroy it. Best way to make sure. You can also consider encrypting the older drive if you wanna hold on to your data while alive, but that migh draw attention post death, if you so choose.
