Well, when I moved to America, I spoke little to no English. I learned it a little bit in school, but nowhere near fluent. Also, I was big-culture shocked. I was completely unaware about how loud Americans are lol

That being said, I was quiet for a long time after moving here, trying to learn the local culture, but being so secluded did not help my depression.

I've been going here for around... 2 years now? So I'd say it took me a year and a half to be fluent?

I do have a small circle of friends here, but it definitely was scary, and a big step in my life to get a visa here. But I feel like I can only do what I want to do here, in America, so I think this is the right decision for me.
