I think it goes deeper than that, he's far more controversial than Federer and Nadal and he'll most likely end up with more slams than both so people naturally hate him.
I'm waiting for the second week, from the 4th round onwards is where the best tennis is at.

Yes, Federer was a class act and Nadal is one of the most humble famous sports figures I have ever seen.
But I admire real men or women that stand up to authority and give them the middle finger, despite the consequences.
The early rounds of the Grand Slams are usually without drama.

Yeah, the first two rounds in particular of the slams are incredibly boring to me. They're only really interesting when you have a good player whose been out with injury for a while get drawn up against a seeded player. I remember years back they had Del Potro play Wawrinka in the first round of wimbledon.
The women's game is good for the first week of slams but I just couldn't care less about that. The difference between the men's and women's game is insane, you could have Bernard Tomic get out there after a hangover and even he would win all the ladies grand slam titles.

At least shes honest about it, some female athletes are delusional. Like our girls national soccer team lost to an u/15s rep boys soccer team.
I miss peak serena in the women's draw, there doesnt feel like there's a real dominant force anymore.

The serve is probably the most difficult things in sports to get right. The pros make it look easy of course.
Most amateurs just give up and toss the ball in the air and try not to hit it too hard so that it stays in the box.

I never played professionally, just muck around on the school tennis courts. The thing that surprised me the most was that pro tennis players must have perfect touch, i remember hitting a few balls (what I thought was fairly softly) and they went flying. And yes, I served underarm.
The training they put in from a young age is next level, I wouldn't cope.

It's a joy to play if you get good at it. You need a good racquet and you need to come over the ball to induce topspin to keep it in the court. The guy I played against a lot would drive me nuts with spins and slices. When the ball is slicing away from you, it's hard return it with control and power. My favorite thing was my passing shot. It's so satisfying to see them standing there at the net as they lunge at a ball that's rocketing pass them.

I played on clay courts a lot. That's really fun. Grass is nice too.
I would encourage you to get into some regular sport or exercise routine. It will make you feel better.
Your walks with Frankie are good, but something more strenuous to get the heart pumping and breathing hard would be good.
Moderation is key though. Unfortunately, at my age I don't play sports anymore.

We are having a non- winter winter. It hit 12° C on Wednesday and this is supposed to be the coldest part of the year.
No snow, no arctic air except for one brief shot around Christmas. This sucks.
At least I don't have to dig my car out.

Great exercise though. The ski resorts north of NYC are dying. Even if they made their own snow, it's been too warm for it to stay around.
