I smashed my arm (and other parts) and apparently it healed the wrong way. Yesterday they broke up my arm and put it back together correctly with some hardware.

Damn, it hurts really bad right now. A failed jump attempt is not to be recommended sigh.. The regret you feel afterwards is probably the worst part.

That sounds really awful to have to go through. I hope you feel better soon. The thought of failing an attempt is the thing I fear.

I'm sorry you're going through this much pain. However I am glad you are not paralyzed or brain damaged like some survivors who jumped.

I hope you continue to heal till your arm can function normally.

I'm so sorry... Jumping is a really gory and tough method. You wanted to escape the pain, but now you have more of it. I hope they at least give you strong painkillers.

Thank you all. Things could certainly be worse for sure. It's tough though, knowing I created this mess in addition to my already bad health. Hopefully this will heal at least. Took some painkillers yesterday and it helped, feeling slightly better today.

Hi I know how it feels to survive a jump attempt. I fractured my spine in 3 places, broke ribs, punctured lung, and few other injuries which weren't serious.
So know how rough and useless it can make u feel

That sounds quite bad. How are you today if I may ask? Were you able to recover from your injuries? It's awful what we have to go through.

My injuries are mostly healed however my spinal fractures will always give me long term pain. I jumped in 2013, it did cause incontinence also

So sorry you are going through this. I too have failed a jump attempt and its horrible. Broken wrist, compression fracture of my spine, conpletely fucked my ankle up. Ive had 4 surgeries on the ankle alone and it was not fun.

You will get through this though. Try to just take it a day at a time and dont beat yourself up about it. Hope you recover quickly. Hugs to you

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear about your struggle. However, hearing your story gives me some resolve to get through this. The pain is less now. 8 days until I can remove this plaster on my arm thank god. I am counting down.

I am sorry for your pain, you do not deserve it.
May I ask how taller was the building you tried to jump?

Poor guy,I am sorry for your pain. I guess this shows jumping is a very risky method. I often fantasized about it but I would never do it.

i'm also curious about how tall it was. did it seem unlikely that the jump wouldn't succeed? i am curious; i used to think that jumping could be a way out for me, but now i'm having second thoughts.
