I've been giving this some thought lately. Does it seem strange to anyone else that strangers want to make sure you stay alive? Personally, if Im being honest, I could care less if someone else (especially a stranger) decides to take their life.

Why would the medical community put so many resources into ensuring people stay alive if they didnt have some ulterior motive to do so? A dead person is one less gear in the cog, one less person to exploit, one less person to make the most powerful more powerful. Even if you don't have a job you are perpetuating a system by collecting benefits.

Suicide is the greatest form of rebellion.

When strangers see or hear of someone hurting themselves or attempting suicide, they are terrified for that person's wellbeing because of empathy.

Several formerly suicidal people attempted, were rescued, and are grateful for that.

Its assumed we are not in our right mind, or are crying out for help. People that don't want to die can't understand why anyone would if they were sane.

There are control structures that play on human nature, and there is human nature, that is, biology.

We are hard-wired to rescue children from imminent, life-threatening danger. Seeing a child in traffic will override the personal survival instinct, which contributes to the survival of the species. If we see someone attempting suicide, we are likely to try to stop them, but are less likely to take personal risk to do so. So it may be that we call it caring, but biology forces us to care, so it's more like instinct that generates a flood of hormones that create feelings and motivation, just like childbirth and nursing flood the mother with bonding/love hormones.

That could be an explanation for what you're asking. I just read stuff, and what I've read seems to make sense here.

Interesting claim @Disintegration and that makes sense. I agree with you in regards to:

Suicide is the greatest form of rebellion.

If that is true, then we have a bigger issue at hand in regards to human behaviors and trends. This might also explain why pro-lifers want to impose life, not that I agree with it and will do everything I can to ensure my successful attempt at CTB'ing.

Why would men want to control the reproductive rights of strangers who happen to be women?

It's the way of the world. The majority imposing their personal beliefs onto strangers telling them how to lead their lives.
