I think I'm ready to take SN sometime in the upcoming months. This has probably been answered already, but what's gonna happen if I f*** it up? I've heard there are no permanent side effects but I have a hard time believing that.

Hello,

I, too am considering CTB through SN, and I have been trying to read up on the method, the risks, etc. Most of what I've encountered says that there are usually no long-term effects.

BUT

I just recently read a thread on here detailing the dangers of something called Delayed Post-Hypoxic Leukoencephalopathy (DPHL).

Basically it is a condition that can happen to your body and brain after hypoxia, aka a state of oxygen starvation, induced by consumption of sodium nitrite.
I can't seem to find the thread just now. But the thread has a link to a study from the NIH which detailed the experience of a man who consumed SN and was subsequently affected by DPHL, I have linked it below.

Basically the man consumed SN and fell into a coma for a brief period of time. After he regained consciousness, though, he demonstrated cognitive decline which persisted for at least 60 days.

i have pasted the link to the study below. If I can find it, I will update this post with a link to the original SaSu thread. Thank you and good luck to you.

Here's the thread where I found the NIH study, along with a spirited debate. Here's to hoping you find it informative and interesting reading.

Okay...

I had an attempt about 3.5. years ago. I called pretty soon after taking it, maybe it took 30 minutes? maybe an hour? im sorry i dont remember better.;;; to get help and go to the hospital...i was starting to lose the ability to walk, speak, open my eyes etc. felt as though i was falling under the heaviest of sleeps

I havent faced anything permanent regarding side effects, unless u consider trauma and regret a side effect LOL...but yeah. just letting u know my anecdotal experience

please do ur own research tho ofc, im sorry you feel like this ur best option, i hope things get better for u . genuinely

SN works by grabbing all the oxygen it can from your blood. If your brain is deprived of too much oxygen for too long it can cause permanent damage. So the basic picture is: (1) A tiny amount of SN probably won't do you any harm. (2) A sufficiently large amount will kill you, by oxygen deprivation. (3) You don't want to be in the intermediate range. So, if you want to die using SN, do your homework, read up about the amounts required, and also read up about the need for an anti-emetic to prevent you vomiting the stuff up.

If you're not willing to do a fuck tonne of research before doing this, don't do SN.
