It feels really shitty to see colleges email me waived application fees and offers to apply. I want to apply so bad but I'm not in school and I don't have the required documents. It sucks to see the future I worked for just slip through my fingers like sand. I kept my grades up and my guardian just makes it all useless. I can't wait to ctb.

If you live in the US college is a waste of money unless u are going for degrees that are going to pay off.

I know college is a waste of money if you pay for it, but all throughout high school I kept straight A's with the hope of getting scholarships and not have to pay. I was going to go for a computer science degree but if I do get to go it will be late and all the work I did will pretty much be for nothing because of my guardian.

I am in the US, I need my test scores, counselor and teacher recommendations, as well as my transcript, but I'm not even enrolled in my senior year at this point and I'm going to be behind on credits. Fml.

Don't get discouraged, college isn't the only way. Sometimes maybe that just isn't in the plan for u but something else will fall into place :)

Oh crap . I don't know much about IS system . In the Uk we have something called an Access Course . In case you hAve no GCSEs or A levels ( for whatever reason) u can wait till you are 21 and take an access course for one year and then try and get into Uni - is there no equivalent ? For people that for whatever reasons didn't get the grades in high school or whatever ?

I don't think the US has that sadly. The fucked up part is that I did get the grades. I have had straight A's for the past 3 years. But thanks to my guardian they don't matter.
