• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm currently taking an accounting degree right now. Despite it being my passion, my state of being in college makes me hate the only degree I can capitalize off. I'm forcing to learn all theoretical shit right now in just less a week before finals, and I don't like that my learning is forced, and that I can master everything with time that is self-paced, not this deadlines.

I went through the same thing and ended up switching majors cause of it. Pursuing it completely killed my passion.

Something similar happened with my first degree. But more that it gave me such a crisis of confidence in my abilities. I went in loving the subject and came out being afraid of it.

That can be the unfortunate side to working in a subject we enjoy too. On the one hand, if it goes well- it's the whole scenario of: 'Do a job you enjoy and, you'll never work a day in your life.' But- if it's a negative experience, it can end up killing your passion- unfortunately.

A friend of mine in part didn't pursue a career in the Arts because they didn't want to end up hating what they were supposed to love.

I think it's often more like a compromise though. There will no doubt be some more unpleasant elements but, pursuing something I was at least interested/ invested in was still better (in my experience) than plain old wage slavery.

I hope your workload becomes more manageable.
