Clothes you want to ctb in

are there any clothes which have special meaning to you? i want to do it in my favorite shirt- it has the 1931 "dr jekyll and mr hyde" movie poster on it.

anyway, to get back on track, i've got a pretty good sweater with dogs and apples on it. i think. it'd be really fun to find me in that one. and it'd guarantee no one's gonna fuckin take my favorite sweater. maybe.

Funny I was thinking about it today.
My best Wranglers, Italian shirt, bow-tie and my favorite linen waistcoat.
Im not sure about boots for eternity. Mammut hiking boots then. I plan to hike a lot out there.

the writer in me likes the idea of being buried in bloody clothes, but of course that would be too hard on my family.

see, these are the big questions. but i do think it's what you wear at time of death. if anyone tells me they saw a ghost but there was a clothing discrepancy between what the person died in and what their body after the fact was dressed in, i'm calling bullshit.

that being said, i'd still like to be buried/cremated/donated to science in my dog sweater. just to let 'em see.

Would you care what they dressed you in if they decide to change your clothes that you CTB'd in, or are you going to leave some kind of note or lay out a separate set of clothes to be buried/cremated in?

I honestly hadn't even thought of this until this thread... so I'm just going to see what you guys say. :D

Edit: I always assumed I was going to be buried/cremated with the clothes I CTB'd in, but thinking about it now, I'm starting to wonder if my family would think it was 'bad luck' to be buried/cremated in such clothings and change me...

so maybe specifics would be nice. but also at the same time how fun it'd be to be like, a funeral parlor person and you're getting a body ready and you just got a list, not of what to wear, but like vague ideas of what a person's aesthetic is. "Orange is my color, but don't put me in anything salmon or coral. maybe a warm pastel but no florals, it's not the season. if you can find a nice hat, that'd be great. big fan of fabrics made of hemp."

The main difference is that my dress has 3/4 length sleeves. I would also wear a silver pardon crucifix on a silver chain:

Note the fifth indulgence:

According to Dictionary.com, a plenary indulgence is:

a remission of the total temporal punishment that is still due to sin after absolution​

In other words, one can bypass Purgatory and go straight to Heaven Of course, would the Catholic Church consider someone about to ctb be sufficiently contrite of heart? I suppose if one in the process of dying (say, after one has started to dangle in a full suspension hanging, which is how I think I might ctb) suddenly had second thoughts -- too late to stop the hanging -- then perhaps one can gain the plenary indulgence if one had kissed the pardon crucifix and asked God just before the ctb to pardon one's own sins and to forgive other people.

And of course I would be sure to style my hair nicely and to apply some makeup before I ctb -- and to wear an adult diaper under my clothes so that my dress remains unstained. Ctb should be a festive occasion and I want to look my best for it

Something comfortable for me. I'll put a lot of effort NOT to be found at all. When walking alone in the forrest, I always take pictures of those perfect places nobody will ever find me. I'll leave a letter to let them know, and explain why.

I hate graves, and don't want to be buried in a cemetary.

I wanted to sound glamorous and say a dress or something, but I'd be pretty happy in some clean pyjamas or a sweatshirt and jogging pants. If I wore jeans I wouldn't be 100% comfortable during partial suspension

I have special clothes I want to hang in: My girlfriend, that hangeg herself 12 years ago, liked me to wear shiny lycra leggings. I also feel like a lesbian woman (I´m male...) so I think it would be best to wear those shiny lycra leggings and a T-Shirt, when I´m dangling at the end of my rope. Maybe I would also wear make up, I don´t know now.

That's a great idea, Aokigahara, the japanese suicide forest. Never been to Japan, but was planning a trip this summer, but everything (cheap flights) was sold out. Kind of poetic too, and maybe less difficult to do it, alone, in a land so far from my own country. Thanks!
