Ever since i fucked up my back my life has been downhill. I also had 2 knee surgeries. I think my back pain has literally changed my entire way of thinking. I am irritable all the time and angry. It has fucked my social life up. Chronic pain is a death sentence.

People with moderately severe chronic pain should have an option to get out painlessly. I'm going to have to euthanize myself now.

Totally agree. The pain in itself is bad enough. But then it puts this pall over your entire life. I am also irritable and angry. And feel so alone among people without pain. Don't have the energy to have a good social life (which was already hard enough for me even without pain).

There should be options for people like us. Just like there is for animals in pain.

it is fucking inhumane to keep people like me alive. I literally have a piece of my spine lodged in my cauda equina (bundle of nerves in lower back). My life isn't worth living. You are right. It is the dumbfucks who have never had to deal with severe chronic pain directly that keep people like us alive. It's so twisted and stupid. If I genuinely want to die there needs to be that option.

If I was a cat I'd have been painlessly put to sleep by now. It's unfair to expect us to struggle on with our failing health and chronic pain. It's ironic that pets get put down peacefully with N while we have to struggle to find it.

I can relate. Have watched my father struggle with chronic pain for 10 years. It ruins your life. He takes 11 pills a day. His doctors don't tell him if thc or cbd can help him.

Today I put the old dog down at the vet cost $60, they were nice, and he got a little cute bed to rest on. He got hugs b4 he went. All I can think is how I will never have this option.

I'm so sorry. My pain isn't even always at the severe level, but combined with my other symptoms and depression and loneliness and blah blah it makes me want to die. I can only hope that if it does get more consistently severe I have the courage at last to end things. I mean I hope I do before then though.

I think in a hundred or probably more years society will change and there will be options for us and people will be taught how weird and blind and hypocritical society was to let this to go on. But meanwhile we have to deal with this ourselves. And most "normal" people won't even get the logic and humanity of our view. It's crazy.

I'm so sorry all of you are in such pain. I can relate as I have one of the top 5 most painful diseases in the world. It's rare, progressive, and debilitating. Mostly nerve pain which sucks. Not many pain meds will do anything and I have gastroparesis and do not absorb medication in the way that I should. Frustrates me to no end, but I still have to find the few good things in life to live for at the moment. Been wanting to try Kratom cause I have heard great things about it. Anyone tried that for pain?

@iHeartRockArt I have tried Kratom and it is possibly useful, suggest a read up on the best strains for nerve pain as i cannot remember at the mo, sorry. The only reasons i didn't persevere with it was i already find Pregablin in doses above 200mgs helpful & i couldn't be doing with the shear volume of the stuff i'd need to consume.

I have spent the last 26yrs in never-ending, mind numbing pain, it is bloody tiring, depressing constant oppressive, its sucked every bit of life out of me & just to top it all off, it was my doing, my stupid mistake 26yrs ago that left me useless & unable to walk & in this nightmare.

Sorry crappy morning..
