What would ingesting chloroform feel like? and by ingesting I mean drinking. I'm curious as to what would happen.

Think of drinking a very strong acid. Chlorochorm is actually a very strong base, so you would get chemical burns all in your mouth and all the way down into your throat.

I managed to take a tiny sip and could not get down more than that.

This is untrue. Chloroform is highly poisonous if drunk. Death would not take long.

I only took a sip so it did not hurt bad but that tiny bit burned like acid so a mouthful is going to suck. I have seen case reports from people who died with chloroform - soaked cotton balls in their mouth and they have chemical burns. It will be very painful.
