Suicide isn't nuanced, it normally means the suicided was miserable. Hence the absurdity in proclaiming her life to be "perfect" or "had everything you can wish for". If you kill yourself you didn't appreciate your life, ain't no nuance in there.
Even if we accept some peculiar people do it because age haunts them, they are still doing it because their life is dominated by dreadful thoughts about growing old. It always circles back to being uncomfortable enough to overcome your suicidal instinct.
It's incredible to me that some people have the guts to take their life in this way.
What must go through the persons mind on the descent ?
Blows my mind!

For sure. I would be terrified of surviving and ending up paralyzed or disfigured. Also thinking about people finding my body all bloody and mangled freaks me out. It's so stupid I know but I worry about how my corpse will look a lot lol hence why I've also specifically stated in my note that I want a closed casket at my wake

Its crazy people posting so many quotes how people should treat others better everyone acted like they "cared" yesterday, then other news about Rihanna's pregnancy today, people forgot about this story. It just shows how fucked up society is. They only care if its trending and want to put their bullshit opinion about it. No one really cares. I feel bad for her. This is why I support euthanasia. I live in NY and its a horrible way to die. I know so many people who lived jumping off buildings, and thats why it scares me to choose that method. I know she finally found peace.

We don't know that. It's possible. I admit I'm quite vain and obsessed with looking young, fit, and fashionable. It's harder to do the older you get. I never had kids but my reasons were that I never felt that innate feeling to procreate that most people have, they are super expensive, and I kinda wanted to be selfish with my life (spend money on me and didn't want to be responsible for someone else). Most of my friends with kids have the same body type they always had. I don't think any of them look worse off.

ye Im actually amazed by how easily most of the people just adapt to getting older. Some people just accept any shit life throw on them, and just move on. This is really beyond me

Right !! Scares the crap out of me....weak, vulnerable and depressed because your peers and relatives are dying too frequently now. I am 70 and I know this stuff first hand lately.
I don't think there's anything "mentally ill" about wanting to retain your youth. I totally understand her choice to ctb to avoid becoming old. I respect if someone doesn't place much value on youthfulness, but I certainly do.

But not bright enough to know her own self. Can only choose from the 'popularity' menu. She literally became a lawyer, because members of that profession are well known for being the happiest and most content of all. Then she added attention-whoredom on top of it. Talk about making every mistake in the book...

someone has died by ctb and all you can do is attack the person? you:
- called her not bright
- called her not able to choose
- criticized her major
- called her attention seeker like a whore
- criticized her for doing mistakes
what is your problem?!

LOL. You reminded me of the Clancy Bros song,"Finnegan Wake",A trad song that inspired James Joyce. In the song Finnegan is dead and being waked until a brawl breaks out,all against all. When Finnegan is clobbered by a full bottle of whiskey,he comes back to life,to rage against the waste of the booze.
I wonder, what if we went to a wake for one of our CTBs and a fight broke out,and someone threw a bottle of N,and hit the deceased? Would they wake up in a rage, railing against the waste of N? Maybe...

If she really did catch the bus because she was turning 30, it just seems a bit silly. Many of us who are older have fond memories of being so young. If age is going to be the reason, I can see it when you are in your 80's and your body is crapping out.
This is just an opinion and a personal observation:
For a woman reaching 30, it is a dramatic point in her life. She would have completely developed and akin to a flower in full bloom. This is also the time when men choose to woo younger women in their 20's and forgo the 30-year-old. Nature can be so heartless considering when she was still in her 20's the world was her oyster. She was the center of attention and men would beg to be in her company. Most women would come to terms with this eventuality. Some choose to divert their attention toward starting a family. Others still have developed their intellect and pursued careers. Those who are ill-prepared for this reality sadly spiral down into despair.

@roguetrader is kind of correct. Looks-wise both men and women peak around mid 20s to early 30s. Physically, meaning some sports like mma and bodybuilding, you can peak in your 30s to early 40s
I know many members have been hurt by other human beings &/or lack social skills, but meaningful relationships with other people are far more important than wealth, let alone fame. Fame... How many humans are able to achieve fame & stay famous for a significant period of time? Lol Not being poor is very important, but you don't have to be super young, gorgeous & rich to lead a life worth living. I know these two guys in their 50s who don't have tons of money & aren't hot anymore, but who still like their lives because they have plenty of friends & now happily screw other people who aren't great-looking.

So many people are caught up in such trivial and superficial nonsense it's just disappointing. They're barely more than animals being driven by basic programming. You are not your body, you are not how much money you have in the bank, you are not your social status, you are not your posessions, etc, etc, etc. If you live to be 150yrs old you'll still be young. A human lifetime is a drop of water in an ocean of time and we understand almost nothing of the full picture of reality. Use this time to expand your concicousness and level up your awareness. If anything endures beyond our experience here it will be what we learn and take with us as memory. A human is not some perfect being we should aspire to be. We should be trying to transcend ourselves and be much better than what is now.
Of course that is correct. This is the part I disagree with:

It isn't silly. If she was so afraid of aging that she jumped to her death although she was still attractive, she suffered from some type of disorder.
Thats basically what a person's expectation of minimum life standards to continue. Some people have lower standards and go all the way to the very end like most "normal" people. I for one, don't want to not have a lot of money, be in my 50s and "screw people who aren't great looking".

We don't get to decide what's enough to satisfy other people & make their lives worth living. You're free to be a materialist & I'm free to think materialism is a bad idea. The guys I mentioned aren't depressed because they aren't rich, they like their jobs & friends (& food lol) & they're happy with their sex lives. They're sort of fat now & they have sex with other fat guys. Not my thing, but sex isn't just for people I find attractive... You're free to pity them for having "low standards"...

Yes that's my point. Everyone has different expectations or wants in life. That miss USA had extra high ones in some areas and that's why she's gone at 30. There is no right or wrong in terms of expectations.
