  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Anything 'positive', makes me feel much worse, there is nothing to be happy about in a world that is as horrible as this. Life is only suffering after all. It would be wrong to smile when someone else in the world is experiencing so much pain at the same time. People with loud voices can be very annoying, I hate the sound of laughing in particular. I cannot stand noise in general, at least when I am dead I will not have to hear or experience anything ever again.

I enjoy certain flavours of positivity, it's a specific subset of 'positive' person that I find toxic - those who pretend the negative doesn't exist and will become hostile if you allude to anything remotely negative. I think you know the type. Were it not for the sake of convenience, I wouldn't even call these people "positive", that's really too flattering of a label for them. I see them as more ignorant and dangerous for their dismissal of bad things, than positive.

My late father had a strong aversion to anything he though negative. "Lets change the subject", he would often say. Once he and I were exploring an old cemetery and I found the grave of World War One soldier who had bee killed the day before the Armistice. When I pointed it out to him, he immediately wanted to leave the cemetery And my father was hardly a cheery man.

Yes, same with people that live the lives I can't live. Those are triggers.

Depends on my frame of mind

Sometimes it's good. Other times not.

One thing that I really do hate is modern sad songs that aren't parodies. There's nothing worse than hearing that from the radio

I think some cheery people deep inside are the most miserable really. I don't like the toxic positivity and always denying pain but if some people use that to cope with the harsh feelings their having, I can't hate them. They are just trying to cope the best they can.

Folks that are just sometimes cheery don't typically bother me too much unless they are insistent upon me being cheery too.

The ones that are perpetually cheery are the ones that I tend to just want to bitch-slap upside the head....... hard..... and lots of times.

Very overwhelmed but I would rather deal with them than bullies.

I hope they're really happy as they appear because keeping that facade is exhausting.

I worked in customer service and with kids before so being all smiley when ur suicidal af is a job in itself.😑

Wow, I can't imagine working a job where I had to pretend to be happy shiny all day. Respect.

They don't bother me. I bet some people may call me a cheery person. My therapist and other friends always remarked on my sense of humor and ability to be funny. It's not necessarily fake it's just I've been trained over a lifetime to "put on a happy face" so I just do it automatically when other "happy" people are around. This is probably why most people would never guess I was bipolar.
