Discussion Cheap SN equals not pure.

Cheap SN does not have enough purity i think. Because during the packing process alot of oxidation takes place and they are doing in bulks. My SN doesnt have any purity level written on it except its says AR grade and essay 98.65% . I guess i have to take more then the required amount.

I think you should trust the label. Manufacturers must undertake that chemical products are of the specified purity. Because the people who will use it formulate the reactions according to this degree of purity.

don't judge it based on the price, because SN is always cheap.

be happy with your 98% purity.

just check if the package was well-sealed (and most likely it was) and everything is fine.

there's a popular brand in my country which is 95% pure and many people have CTBed with it.

there's nothing to worry about when it comes to price.

just leave the package sealed. don't open it unnecessarily, because it reacts with oxygen.
