Do I now have the right tools for this?

What's the best way to test?

yes you have everything you need. I would recommend doing this at home in bed or in the bathroom, just for convenience and you won't feel hot. You can buy a carbon monoxide detector just to be sure. You can leave him in the room until he gives a signal of a high concentration of gas, after which you enter with a full lung inhalation and instant death.

What about a car? Because that's my plan.

the car is also a good place, as it is originally sealed from the factory, many people from Japan have died this way. There may be problems with smoke, try to find a suitable place for the ctb so that you cannot be found. And please stick a piece of paper with an inscription about the danger on the glass so that the people who found you do not die with you

That's what I'm thinking.

I've tried watching a few videos.

Say the charcoal has to all be grey but from what I can see, from the videos, charcoal doesn't not go all the way grey and doesn't glow orange?

But on here it's described as it needs to go this way?

I have already used this method, I was able to pass out when the coals were not yet completely gray. Try to search for a megathread by this method, for sure it should be

I wasn't ready to leave then and just walked out of the room before passing out. I felt a little dizzy and felt a little hot

The smoke is hard to deal with trust me… it's not easy

What did you use? And how much?

Waiting for the smoke to clear. Apparently takes 20 minutes
I used ordinary charcoal as in your photo, poured out about half, there was no smoke

Somebody on here succeeded with this using a tent somewhere in the countryside a while back. It's probably one of the better methods now SN has been gimped.

Looking at using my car, not a tent.

Just want to get it right. Not looking to be a vegetable. Brought numerous bits over the last week.

Charvoal starter seems the best way. I'm a few drinks in and hoping to do a good job of it tonight.

Have you sealed the vents up?

Not yet. My sister is at the house. But I have X4 vents I believe at the front of the car.

Planning to cover the vents with tape and bits of a plastic bag and set my charcoal starter at 5am whilst she is asleep.

X2 bricks in the car in the passenger footwell.

Grill readily available for when the briquettes are ash.

How often do people fail this method?

I don't know. I don't think there are even numbers for that. Xanexx failed the first time, and maybe even the second, leaky tents, but he kept at it and succeeded. That's part of the reason his thread is so inspiring. Charcoal gets a low score for method, but the science is sound, and it gets high scores for peacefulness and effectiveness.

I think the only concern is, if I end up a vegetable that I won't be able to try again.

i think you have a time frame where you'll know it's working, like symptoms match those described.

Hoping I get this right. Going to take a nap, wake up at 4am and give this another go.

Tried this morning but the steel bucket and ready made lump charcoal bag didn't work.

Just want a peaceful way to go. Just can't deal with my most recent break up at all.

You have to let the charcoal burn outside for a long time 2 or 3 hours at least, then it will be confortable. You can bring it inside.

You won't have to deal with the chemical from the smoke if you bring it later.

Have you ever heard of people killing themselves accidentally using charcoal for food at 6pm than bring it inside to warm themselves later at night to warm their tent like 3 or 4 hours after lighting it up. Its the best time to bring it , because no disgusting smoke only carbon monoxide slowly and painlessly killing you.

Which of course means that the government will start banning charcoal for bar-b-qs. Glad I got mine before they go crazy with this cxrap!
