In the past I did a lot of research on the helium method, but lately I've been looking into the charcoal method. I remember from earlier discussions you'd need a CO analyser and not a cheap CO meter. The cheaper models make you believe they can measure up to 9.999 ppm, but in reality they measure CO2 up to 9.999 ppm and CO up to 999 ppm. This model, TPI DC710

can measure between 0 and 10.000 ppm. The higher the ppm value, the faster one will be unconscious and then ctb. Since I'm only starting to look at this I have no idea yet* what value of ppm can be reached by using the charcoal method. CO poisoning comes with headache and I don't know if Paracetamol will counter-effect this, so the faster I'm out, the better.

This model costs around £ 404 (€ 466) which isn't cheap, but hey, you only ctb once, right?

* I'll have to take a closer look at the carbon monoxide megathread.

This one is also a megathread:

Planning to use this method myself. I have done some research too, we could share what we know if you want.

Lets get out of this world

There's quite a few articles of this on the "news" section of Google. Its actually crazy how many reports there are of this when you look at the news articles.

Then there's the news articles of people off-roading, getting stuck in the mud, blocking the tail pipe and dying - again quite a few.
