how do some people use carbon monoxide from there car to ctb?considering cars have catalytic converters, which pretty much gets rid of all the CO.
If you would still like to donate, you still can. We have more than enough funds to cover operating expenses for quite a while, so don't worry about donating if you aren't able. If you want to donate something other than what is listed, you can contact RainAndSadness.

Cats dont do that though. In an enclosed space it will absolutely build up.
Cats dont do that though...
They reduce emissions but given a long enough time they will build up. Combustion is combustion. Air goes in, gets burned, CO, NO, and other gases come out. That is my understanding.

THANKS FOR CLEARING THAT UP
THANKS...WEREWOLF!They don't magically remove combustion gases, as the name suggest they convert them via oxidation and reduction to other, less harmful molecules, H2O for example.
This process is ofcourse not 100% efficient and almost 0% efficient when the converter is cold.
So yes it's definitely possible to ctb with a modern car, preferably with a cold engine. I wouldn't recommend a diesel though.
When I tried mine years ago, I put a water hose from the exhaust pipe going inside through the car window. The pipe melted. I heard though that in very heavy snow conditions you can die from it. Is there something you can place in the exhaust pipe to block it and divert it to go inside the car? Something that will not burn or melt.

Freezing cold engine produces lots of CO and catalytic converter also needs to be very hot before it begins to oxidize CO to CO2.What happens is the snow builds up around and between the bottom of the car and the ground creating a seal as so the exhaust gases gets trapped and enters the car.
The news doesn't really get into the detail but I believed it worked for Conrad Roy, but his girlfriend, Michelle Carter talked him into it. Conrad did express a wish to get out of the car, but then she told him to stay in the car is how I understand it. And that's how she got into trouble. You can't really block the exhaust in that way. Fairly common in areas with a lot of snow. Most car manufacturers even state in the owners manual to remove all snow before starting the car in winter conditions.
However car exhausts contain a lot more nasty stuff than just CO and I'd imagine breathing it would become unbearable long before CO levels become fatal.

I disagree. She didn't do it for a sick pleasure. Her boyfriend has multiple times talked of suicide to her and asked her to help him.I remember this case. That girl is so sick.
She encouraged him. When he went out the car she told him to get in again. She didn't do it for a sick pleasure. Her boyfriend has multiple times talked of suicide to her and asked her to help him.
I laughed way too much at thisCats, like most living things, do indeed produce traces of carbon monoxide as part of their normal metabolism. However I don't feel this would be an effective way to CTB.
Given, say, an average bathroom of 400 cubic feet, and an average feline size of 8 pounds, I calculate you'll need 1,249.35 cats to reach the CTB CO threshold of 8,000 ppm. It would be exceeding difficult to acquire so many cats, to say nothing of herding them into the bathroom and preventing fighting, mating, etc.
While CTBing via cat-produced carbon monoxide is theoretically possible, I believe you'll find much more realiable, peaceful methods in our resource section.
