A recent news article reported the death of a cancer patient who shot himself dead. He had terminal cancer and his doctor was unable to offer help in assistance in dying. The patient had aaked assistance from his doctor.

The UK 1961 Suicide Act threatens prosecution and maximum 14 Years jail term for anyone assisting someone to.die even if that person is terminally ill.

Grotesque deaths like this will continue all the while people who suffer intractable pain, are unable to get help in dying. This dying man could have had a peaceful death, like we offer our beloved pets in their hour of need.
