I was born in Canada and I like it here. All my life I grew up in an urban area that has a really diverse assortment of people, and somehow most of my classmates were bigoted or racist. That's something I don't understand, how Canada seems pretty multicultural but somehow people are still closeminded if that makes sense. Sorry if that's not what you were looking for in a reply. I did find it interesting recently though that my friend from the United States never got vaccinated in school. I thought that was a common practice in other countries, too.

Intresting. Being from germany where taxes, housing and laws are very regulated. Rarely seeing any homeless people its quite a trip. The 1600 cad condo we live in would be deemed uninhabitable at german standards. Especially at this price.. little outsider perspective
But your are on here. So am I. So in the end thsts speak for itself. Been on here 7 years ago when I only knew germsn life. Blueprint of how power works is the same. Germany quality of life is just enough to keep most people from falling into homelessness and mentality addiction. But in the end its dtill the pradotory system as we csn see. No judgements on the civilian. Im depended on benzodiazepines myself as we speak.

Born and always lived here and well… the weather is always a pain in the ass making no sense. The people are sometimes ok, sometimes they are the dumbest bigots out there(even though they will deny that or any similar label), people aren't as nice as others say… as someone working in fast food, most people are truly dumb asshats. Surprisingly to us, we have 'slang' that is easily understood yet not used by many others apparently. The government sometimes does things to benefit its people but more often does things to 'put a pretty sticker over the problem' rather than solve and stop the actual issue in the first place, but with capitalism and "the economy" the way it is a lot of places are as well. That also changes from town to town/city/province/coast/etc.
when it comes to the MAID for mental health thing… well I truly think that's never gonna happen, as sad as it is. This is like the one time where people are angry and all about how we 'need to solve the problem first instead of ending peoples lives.' Funny people can't see that when it comes to literally any other systemic issue but ok..(that's not just a Canada thing, this is me ranting about my annoyance with what people have been saying lately)

That said I hope you're able to experience the best here and enjoy your time.

Your mentioning of German standards/regulations is interesting. As I'm sure you're aware in Canada, we're kind of all over the place. Where I live, the job market is very bad. There are no jobs available, and with the small amount of interviews I get, no one wants to hire me. I understand that it's not black and white with different majors and stuff like that though. The industry I studied in College is dying in North America, which makes the job market worse for me, but for other people working parttime and whatnot, they can find a couple jobs at least. Where I live they are trying to cut down on homelessness and drug addiction by building safe injection sites, but this is all new and uncharted territory for my region and it's not going very well. We don't really have firm ways of helping people. For a while, I worked with a company that is paid for by my province for finding a job, but they said that the job market was so bad that they couldn't help me and I was dismissed. That's ok, its not their fault. Its a problem to not work fulltime though, as I don't have any insurance and a bad credit score. I was lucky enough to beg a clinic recently to let me build them a website so they would remove my wisdom teeth before they became infected. I wish things like that would change. If we had a better system for stuff like that.

Intresting. Thank you for your insights of how it is to live here when being born. In germany dental health is included in standard health insurance which is an obligation tonhave for every citizen. Every citizen has the right to an apartment which will be paid by the government. Not the paper dry wall houses but acully apartment that would be considered high end in canada. Dental is included in health insurance. Rent is regulated so landlords csnt price premium for garbage. This condo I live in would not meet german started and be shut down. Taxes much lower. Be it food or booze. Lived in dresden ans paid 370 euros for a small modern apsrtment. Homelessness far and I between. No tent cities. Rarely saw a homeless person in dresden. Acutlly not at all tbh. Of course germany has the same blueprint. But it understands if someone is homeless no taxes are coming in. No recruitment of cheap indian labor. Life is very diffrent over here in canada.
