Yes, especially if you have a reason to ctb, such as a situation of sacrifice or of avoiding consequences. Sometimes suicide as art could also apply as this, think Yukio Mishima or various public immolations

i dont want to die, rather i would have preferred to not exist in the first place.
like most people suicide is the closest there is to not existing to begin with. depending on what you believe in i guess.

i want to die. can someone tell me why I have to want to live? there isn't an objective reason.
why do i have to want to live? i don't.
still suicide is difficult cause i fear remaining alive with brain damage after a suicide attempt. i can't fail cause of many other reasons too. fear of failure and remaining alive is only reason i haven't killed myself yet.

Same. It's quite an interesting feeling that is complicated to explain.
No matter if we CTB or not, we will all die in the end; nothing that we have done in this life will matter to us anymore because our consciousness will have died. Even though we all have the same fate, life is painful, so some of us want to check-out early. But by doing so, we risk making this painful life even more painful, so we are all torn. We are torn between following our survival instinct and following our heart and mind.Similar threads
