Judging by the fact that most people die from cancer, injuries and cardiovascular diseases, it is very painful.

For some people it's excruciating. Other people peacefully die in their sleep and never see it coming. Most people die somewhere in the middle. Medical professionals do what they can to make sure people are comfortable in their final hours

I watched my mother die of cancer and would say she went through excruciating pain for some time before they gave her drugs to end it all.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

Natural Deaths can be unbearable pain every second for years for example cancer alsheimers many more.

As long as a human is still alive can fall into a trap of the worst most unbearable pain. There's no guarantee of that not happening while alive. When ur "Dying" ur still alive and so can suffer

A more realistic pain scale is 1 the barely perceptible pain to 1 trillion the most intense most most excruciating unbearable pain .

Sometimes pains can be combined from several different pains at the same time and other horrors summed on top

Yes drinking Nembutal beats all ways of going to beautiful Non-existence forever

The pain involved with natural death depends wildly on the exact cause, but I will say that in most cases, whatever pain there is will be treatable, and you don't have to be zombified either. You can die slowly from infection, which will probably produce symptoms. Or you can die from vfib while jogging along your favorite trail, in which case you'll go out instantly and while having the time of your life.

Most of them will gradually going from 1-10, by around 8 or something they would start pumping morphine and it's lessened some what but never disappeared.

Then you get weaker and weaker to the point of you can't even express pain anymore. Make no mistake, the pain is still there.

Then they pull the plug or you die naturally.

Source: me, dude who watched all 4 grandparents and multiple aunts and uncles slowly rotting away.

Very tough to say. As you get older, your body starts to break down and just doing mundane activities can become very difficult on yr body. So it might not be a sharp, sudden pain as aging can just slowly make the simplest things more difficult. And that's not taking into account getting sick or some kind of a disease which yr body will have more difficulty fighting off as you age. We all hope that we can live a long life and simply die peacefully in our sleep. But its different for everyones life experience and the amount of pain one goes through really varies.

"Natural death" is so vague as to be useless. It covers hundreds, maybe thousands of ways to die.

My mother had lung cancer and suffered to the very end.

My best friend died in his sleep and felt nothing at all.

I watched my grandmother die about 6 years ago. She was surrounded by family which is nice but she was also struggling to breathe, could barely talk, and was in pain in her last moments. Like many have already said, natural death covers so many ways to die that it can be either completely painless or agonizing.

One of the reasons why I consider ctb a rational decision. Because natural death can be horrible, and someone can end up trapped in a situation where a person will suffer greatly and will not be able to end the suffering on their own.

Natural death is like dying in your sleep from whatever natural event, or, at least dying after becoming unconscious from whatever natural event. Natural (death) events are anything related to the human condition like cancer, heart disease, aging, etc. Dying while one is not conscious is the ideal way to go. It can't get any better than that.

Unfortunately have never died,so I don't know. BUT, it seems that could also be painful. Like a heart attack, for example,or cancer. :(
