nearly impossible to pull off. do not try this.

from a pinned thread of methods that should NOT be attempted:
VSED (voluntarily stopping eating and drinking)
This method is often sought out by people who hear about it use in terminally ill patients on hospice. These patients are under the care of medical professionals who are prescribing them heavy sedatives and pain killers to ensure that they are in as little distress as possible, as well as likely in the late stages of dying in which thirst and hunger cues are lost. It is also rarely done in people who have reached extreme states of spiritual enlightenment. In general, someone who does not meet either of these criteria will not be able to succeed in VSED. There are currently 0 confirmed cases of this on this site, despite many, many attempts, myself included. While people are under the impression that consuming absolutely no food or fluids will kill you within 3 days max, that is a myth. The body has the potential to make it much longer on absolutely nothing. As you get further and further into dehydration and electrolyte imbalances, your mental state will begin to suffer. Your body will go to extreme lengths to get some sort of fuel. If you have any access to food or water, you will eventually be overcome with an ravenous, primitive desire to eat and drink anything in your path. You will eventually cave. And will then have put yourself through days and days of this for nothing.

Yes, eventually. I wouldn't recommend it though. One time, I didn't eat for two weeks because I was very sick (it hurt too much and I had to vomit after just trying to drink something)... and I still survived even though I was already underweight before that, so it would take a really long time. If you also don't drink anything it would be faster than just not eating anything, but I believe that your natural instincts would get in the way. I don't recommend it!

People here say that it's a non-method but what if someone doesn't have access to water? If i don't ctb before i might end up in such a scenario and i wonder what will happen. Certainly i will die, right? What else can happen, that i try to drink from the sink?

no the only way this would work is if someone captures them and then make them starve and dehydrate simply not possible to pull off on your own
plus i also feel like there are better ways to commit suicide

I tried not to not eat or drink in a psych ward for over a day and it made me feel sick so I stopped. A few days later I was throwing up I wasn't sure if it was the depot or the VSED but now I think it was the VSED

Yeah, with time it gets worse. Took me about half an hour to crawl to the bathroom, which is right next to my bedroom... felt like a slug someone had stepped on.

You're not gonna succeed, the will to drink is way too strong. You won't overcome it if you're young and have all senses.

As for just not eating... Well look what happened to Bobby Sands. Went blind, went deaf. He had to be handled extremely carefully because at any given time there was a real risk of his bones piercing his skin. His skin was so sensitive that ordinary bed sheets caused him a burning sensation, leaving him on a waterbed in a specially made cage to avoid as much contact as possible. He suffered neurological damage, among which loss of feeling in parts of his face. And that's just some of it.

Wouldnt recommend it first its borderline impossible to do to begin with second even if you somehow manage to it takes time during that time people will call 911 and thats that and well dying of thirst even if you somehow succeed is horrible and painful so overall no at least from me

The people that do it as a protest die over the course of multiple weeks

Its impossible to be without water. The feeling in your throat is impossible to bear.

Never tried without food though.

Apparently people who are dying can pull it off because their body isn't craving sustenance. My cat that went missing a months ago is probably dead was very old and stopped eating and drinking
