I fall into a deep depression around the winter months each year, guaranteed. However, during those summer months, I still have such an incredible disinterest in life. I suppose it's difficult coming out of a depression, you tend to feel hopeful that your life will suddenly improve significantly, that all the pain you went through amounts to something. And as the months pass, I still can't feel satisfied. I've spent so long in those depressive states, it seems as if the rest of the world has passed me by, deserting me. And I seem to never be able to catch up, before burning out and falling back into my depression.
That's my cycle: feel hopeless, begin to feel slightly hopeful, then burn out, repeat.
