Hello. My SN has finally arrived. The only thing I have left to do is figure out which date I want to book my stay at a hotel. I do have one concern though and I couldn't find an answer online.

I'm wondering do the hotel staff usually go through your bags to check whats inside? If i keep my sn and things in a regular amazon package it came in inside of a backpack would that be alright? I just want to be able to check with in with a bag of my stuff and not have this go wrong. Any input is appreciated.

Never have hotel staff searched my luggage.
Assuming you're not flying anywhere, which is another kettle of fish entirely, you'll be fine.

Your luggage should remain unchecked. You will of course need to go through the standard hotel body cavity search though. I would recommend you wear loose clothing to make this easier, and remember that you have the right to ask for your searcher to be a staff member of the same gender as you

I'm wondering do the hotel staff usually go through your bags to check whats inside? ... I just want to be able to check with in with a bag of my stuff and not have this go wrong.

This is not typical at all. I'm wondering why you think they might? What country do you live in? Have you been able to stay at a hotel before... or is this your first time at a hotel (absolutely no shame in that!)?

Even then, it's not like having SN materials are illegal anywhere (*as far as I know*)... and, even then, it's not likely most people would have any idea what you were intending to do with them.

Can you please give some insight into why you think this might be a concern? If you can give more detail, we can double-check your research....

Sorry for the late reply I was out. I live in the US. And I'm aware it might seem odd to question this but the last time i went to a hotel was as a very young kid and couldn't trust just based off what I might remember. I have ocd and was just overthinking it probably beyond what other people might. But, I also just wanted it to go as well as possible. I don't want to mess this up. I was almost sure they don't check bags but there was still an itch telling me to make sure. Thank you for your response.

Completely understandable and not a problem at all. I live in the US too and can assure you the hotel will not search your bags.

I very much appreciate that you asked the question. I appreciate that you gave me the chance to answer you. Please let me/us know if you have any other concerns (no matter how small). I want things to go "as well as possible" for you too (and for me and everyone).

I'll also say... Going through all this prep (including booking the hotel) may make you feel you have to do it. Please don't force/pressure yourself in this. Go with your convictions, but be flexible too.

I wish you great wellness!

No they do not check your bags at a motel/ hotel. If they did people would have their shit taken away constantly.
You can bring whatever the fuck you want to a motel. Some advice to look less suspicious is don't smell like weed and look somewhat presentable and you'll be fine.

Yes, it was satire. Although mods didn't seem to think so and deleted the post anyway. Oh well.

At the time it wasn't stated that the OP had OCD, so my post wasn't intended to be mocking them for that.

Please, for everyone who comes after you and everyone on this site, please throw away the packaging. There have been previous reports of people ctb'ing with N from A and leaving the original packaging of the product (N) sitting right next to the packaging (from A). This only allows the family or authorities to complain and try to stop anyone else from using the same method. While I understand the issues of oxidation of SN, I think you should still consider pouring it into a different container and throwing away the original container (and I don't mean throwing it in the trashcan in the hotel room). Why should you leave a trail of the exact manufacturer of the product behind? And why leave the packaging from Amazon that shows where you purchased the product? This can only lead to negative impacts for the manufacturer (hey people are using your product to ctb) and for the supplier (hey you are selling this product that people use to ctb).

And as others have already replied, you don't need to worry about anyone checking your bags. Just carry it up to your room yourself.

They deleted it? I assumed it was satire as well, but with each passing day, month and year our privacy and civil liberties become less and less (at least here in the USA) and something absurd as what you joked about may be a reality one day.
