Help Bridges in california - jump

Anyone familiar with Pine Valley Creek Bridge in southern california? It's over 400 feet. There have been suicides there, but I can't find anything about survivors of attempts. I don't want to take any chances of surviving. It's fairly remote, low guardrail, etc.

There's also the Foresthill Bridge in northern california which is the tallest in the state at over 700 feet, but they installed guardrails that are over 6 feet so I would need a ladder (which others have done).

At this point, jumping appears to be the best option for me.

The other possibility is getting to Royal Gorge Bridge in west virginia, but I believe that one is more heavily patrolled and I'm not familiar with the area.

Whatever bridge you decide to use, with these kinds of heights you will not survive no matter how you fall. The Golden Gate Bridge, prior to the nets, has had at LEAST a 98% fatality rate and that was only with the deaths that were recorded. It's probably very very close to 100% given that nearly half of deaths went undocumented. Not to mention every single person that survived the jump landed in a very specific position. And that bridge is only 200 feet high. When you start getting to 250-700 feet high and more and especially over land the chance of survival isn't something you need to worry about. Here is a link of a couple of the tallest bridges in California because I assume you're from there. You can also look into the Coronado Bay Bridge in SoCal. If you have the money to travel across the United States there are plenty of places you can ctb from not only limited to bridges. For example the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Please pick somewhere peaceful where you can have the time to think about your choices and have confidence in them before doing anything.

Have you ever heard of any jump survivors there? Do you know if it is heavily patrolled? Do you think there would be enough time to get one of those telescoping ladders up on the rail? Any other insights or intel?

Also, do you know if there is a place nearby to park your car so you can walk on the pedestrian walkway?

Jumping not the best way to go. Certainly not guaranteed. Golden Gate more than a few survivors. Personally know of a person who jumped from 100 ft up, which is nothing. The fall did not kill him Ended up in ICU and if he woke up he was brain dead from 30 minutes no pulse. It's risky.

She suffered from a fractured skull, three broken vertebrae, broken legs, broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. These injuries resulted in her being temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.

It truly is a beautiful bridge, in an absolutely beautiful location.
Its a shame that someone would feel such grief in their life that they would feel the need to travel so far just to end it

That's such a China thing to do. Their factory workers were jumping off the top floor to kill themselves because their lives were so miserable. Rather than improving conditions, China installed a net to catch them.

Yea it' really quite pathetic. I was initially planning on ctb here. Nobody wants to fix the issues leading up to suicide. They just want people to ctb somewhere else so it doesn't give bad press for the city.

I thought the same thing but mine (SN) is on the way. Can't get here soon enough. I understand how you feel. My days are long,lonely boring and pointless. Just more suffering. No joy or nobody to share it with. I see no end with my challenges. Want to go to sleep and not wake up. The Foresthill Bridge to my knowledge has no survivors. It is long so you would have to plan accordingly with no delay in executing. Drive to the middle,break out your ladder and go. Anything else I can help you with just let me know.

Get your post count and interaction up and that question may be answered. As far as the bridge goes it would only work at night and you would have to be fairly quick about it. Either way is possible.

I was on a vacation to Yosemite national park few years back and a kid got too close to the edge and fell off one of the cliffs there.
Sadly he did hit survive.

California is full of cliffs, you don't need a bridge.

from what i can tell the only survivors of coronado are people who braced themselves and jumped feet down, or one case where a girl was in her mothers arms and she was shielded from the impact. if you jump headfirst at the crown of the bridge 200 feet into water, there is no surviving that esp if you weigh yourself down

I've just read so much about how hard it is to control how you land. I wouldn't trust that I could make sure I land head first.

I had a friend who jumped off the Cabrillo bridge (460 feet) and died. But I think her mom is trying to get safety measures implemented, I'm not sure.

Coronado has those bird spikes on it now but I don't know if that actually makes it harder.

Hi. I was feeling a little hopeful earlier today thinking that I might finally have found a way to CTB, but I'm a little nervous about having time to get the ladder out and up.

I've also been wondering if I should hold out and try to get SN. I just feel so impatient. Not impulsive because I've been thinking about this every day for over a year. But just so so done with not wanting to live but being forced to.

hasn't stopped people at all they are so tiny and easy to avoid its more for show since SD residents are so dived on the issue some people want a fence and others don't want to obscure the city skyline.
