621 Omori has no lame "scary face covering all the screen with a screamer" jumpscares, but it has some other jumpscares. Off the top of my head:Really? I don't really like jumpscares and honestly can't remember any in omori and I wouldn't call it scary, maybe it's the fact Ib was one of the first rpg maker horror games I've played and I was 12 at the time hence why I remember it that way

I get that, I don't like feeling scared and I don't understand how that can be a reason for people to like horror, I just like dark stories and if the story is good then I'll deal with the scariness unless it focuses on something I can't deal with. And again, I'm terrible with horror. I know some people think that being bad with horror makes it better because being scared is funny, but I feel unsafe. I never had someone I could trust or a "safe space" (if anything, videogames are my safe space), so horror gives a lot of anxiety.
I still love horror games tho
Tbh I find those the worst especially with sound, maybe that's why I can't recall any.Omori has no lame "scary face covering all the screen with a screamer" jumpscares
genuinely seeing Mari the fear of falling monster terrified me for weeks. Those were honestly the most scary parts of the game along with Blackspace, Stranger Basil, the event at Basil's House in real life and the final boss621 Omori has no lame "scary face covering all the screen with a screamer" jumpscares, but it has some other jumpscares. Off the top of my head:
Seeing "Mari" after opening the door in the first night or the "hyperrealistic" hand, also in the first night. And even without jumpscares, spooky paintings and statues chasing you are not the same as your disfigured dead sister in your dark bedroom

622 Yep. Omori is maybe not classic "horror", but it has a lot of nightmare fuelgenuinely seeing Mari the fear of falling monster terrified me for weeks.
