I've been wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on books about suicide. I'm not picky. They can be non fiction, either methods or even just the study of psychology behind it/ history of it, etc.
Fictional books on suicide or suicidal main characters would be nice too. I'd prefer ones that don't have unrealistic, out of nowhere happy endings, but it's fine if they end on a positive note so long as it doesn't feel fake or forced.
I've already read:
Nonfiction: Final Exit / PPH / Suicide and attempted suicide
Fiction (... admittedly mostly YA novels a billion years ago) 13 Reasons :/, by the time you read this, i'll be dead / the program / no longer human
Oh! also curious about movies, shows / anime, or even video games! I've already seen 'My suicide,' and 'Wristcutters,' and I've played 'the static speaks my name.'
