Do I need to put the bitcoins first in my own wallet? or can I put A wallet straight ahead when I am buying it?

Late response and maybe you don't need an answer now but it might be wise to put into your wallet first for a degree of separation between the place where you bought the coins, assuming your real info is linked with it. I'd also suggest tumbling or mixing the coins with a service too but this can get expensive. Transaction fees suck so based on your funds you can pay more to be safer from discovery

A great place to buy bitcoins from is localbitcoins.com because you can buy anonymously and with cash, if you want, but there's other payment options too. They provide you with an online wallet as well.

I setup a wallet with blockchain.com and transferred here for stealth reasons. It all worked great for me.

It's pretty confusing stuff. Good luck with it.
