A few months ago I was following a student loan forgiveness account on social media and they asked for our daily function to store a letter to the president regarding our student loans and how we would benefit from forgiveness.

I wrote that while I am under income driven repayment now, as soon as I go $1 over the pixel line I will be hot with full payments. I am considered in extreme poverty and the payments will come right out of my SSDI checks I'm sure.

I told him that I would become homeless when that happens and bc I have a disability requiring air conditioning and I live in the southwest of the states where temps tank 120°f, I would have to kill myself. Is have no other choice.

He sent the letter to 988 and they were so worried abt it the actually CALLED ME!

Ffs. I had to convince them I'm not correctly trying to ctb (although I have almost all my sn preparations made, I want going to tell them that).


Ffs. They obviously didn't read the letter. They just turned me in. I'm waiting for my mental health providers to contact me. If anyone can overdrive HIPAA it would be the White House.

It just shows how little the government (or the president for that matter) actually cares for people struggling with student debt. You shared your personal feelings on the matter, and the only thing they made a big deal out of was the fact that you said you would CTB if you were facing homelessness. If you had stopped with saying you would become homeless, they might not have been concerned about it at all.

Student debt is a terrible thing to be stuck with, especially when you have a lot of it. Hopefully some or most of it can be forgiven, and you can avoid getting stuck with medical debt on top of it, just so they can pretend to care about your mental health and pat themselves on the back. I'm sorry all of this is happening to you at once.

Tell everyone that you are OK to make them go away. Tell them what you have to so that they bugger off.

If you ctb, tell the student loan company and Brandon to stuff it. I'm still paying mine off and wonder why I do so if I'm going to ctb anyway.

On your android phone, go into the play store and download the Tor browser or the Brave browser. Use those instead of the chrome browser. Whatever you do in google chrome get stored in a database and can be subpoenaed by the govt

Don't bother with brave browser, they've literally just chrome with a different interface and they're sketchy to me (I would recommend firefox since it is different internally). Tor browser uses special technology to hide your information, but some websites won't let you use it (there are some ways to get around tor's protection, so keep that in mind). I really hope you get your debt forgiven OP, it isn't fair you were exploited by loan companies, and I feel for you.

Thanks for the heads-up. And thanks for the sympathy. My debt isn't super high and it's not nearly as bad as those ppl you hear abt. It's really only $30k or so, but I'll never be able to pay it. And I didn't even get to finish my degree. But thanks. I really appreciate it.
