So, I've been feeling quite suicidal lately and so I'm considering ending it. The best thing I have to use for ctb rn is a bed sheet, so I was wondering what's the best choking/strangling/hanging method to use with a bedsheet? Do I use it whole, or should I cut it into smaller strings? If a partial hanging is possible then I'd prefer that, but anything that is enough to kill me is good enough rly. Tysm for any advice and ideas in adventage, anything is very much appreciated rn ❤

The only thing I could see working with a bedsheet is full hanging

I would prefer a rope if you have it or otherwise buy it because with a bedsheet is the change of failing bigger

I'm not able to get a rope, I'm in a psych ward and I'll be stuck here for years for sure, the nurses took everything else I could possible use :(

Is it better to use clothing then? Or a plastic bag?

I think the thinner the better as long as it can hold your weight. If it's thick it will be uncomfortable because you won't pass out as quick unless you're doing full hanging in which case it might work.

Years? in psych ward? Damn. You need to leave psych ward. Have you tried faking getting better? Maybe start slowly and act like you are happier/ better. Do not attempt or you will stay there even longer. You will surely fail with ctb in psych ward. Act like you are getting better and show gratitude towards the staff. They want to feel like heors so give their egos a bit of stroking and they will let you go someday.

Also it's very risky to do in a psychiatric ward because your body might make too much noise and the tightening of the ligature could also make noise. They might make you stay longer if they stop you.

I agree that it's risky in the psych ward. Since you have attempted before that's why they might be keeping you locked for so long. Unless someone else is doing that ...

Faking recovery would be a better way to do it so you have access to more options.

Usually I don't write these things but seeing your situation, I feel deeply saddened and just want to help you in some way.
I deeply apologize for breaching the rules of the forum and even our safety.
@RainAndSadness if this is not permitted, tell me.
This post might be deleted afterwards.

As far as I know, you're watched every time, every way in the ward. So it's difficult to do it.
You will need to improvise a rope with the bedsheet by twisting it firmly and using a slip knot or hanged man knot. The cloth does not slide so there's no way to do it comfortably and the possibility of failure is high.
You can try to moisturize the cloth with dirt and water. Or your meds.
You can also wrap the cloth around your neck like a scarf and attach the two ends of the sheet in the ceiling, somehow.

It's not good to say this but I need to say the truth for you. Be careful to not be caught. The increase in the medications will make you unable to try again and ECT can be even worse.

Also, be careful to not be stripped out of your phone because of this forum and suggestion.

Please. You have suffered too much already.
Be careful.
