What are your favorite toppings on your pizza, SS?




As a side note: I actually know the Svenson family very well, they own the MOD Pizza chain. Before that, they owned a coffee company that Starbucks acquired. Scott, the husband/father took a very high level executive position at Starbucks' European branch before co-founding the family's other Italian restaurant chain, Carluccio's, before MOD.

I like a Florentine pizza- spinach and an egg in the middle. Partly for the novelty. Choices become a bit more limited with vegetarian stuff.

Combinations depend on my mood. It's easier for me to list toppings I refuse than ones I like. Do not like mushrooms, anchovies, or olives. Those are the most common no-gos that others seem to like.

Randomly... I always hated eating pizza with other people because IF we ordered delivery they always wanted mushrooms and shit I didn't like, which made it hard for me to eat any... BUT if we ate at a buffet, where people could get whatever they wanted? Those SAME people always scarfed up the pepperoni or other non-topping laden pizzas, instead of the weird-topping ones they always claimed to like, and so I was again left scrambling to find flavors I could eat!

On the positive side... Cici's is maybe mid-range quality pizza on their buffet BUT they will make custom pizzas for you on their buffet... and if you get lucky, their pizza-makers will make off-menu things. One of the favorites I've spread around once one taught their method to me... is the Big Mac pizza. You use a cheese-based sauce instead of tomato, and top with hamburger, onions, and cheddar cheese... then once cooked you go over to the salad bar and top it with lettuce and pickles and thousand island dressing. It's a very good pizza and tastes surprisingly like a Big Mac!

I'd only had it once, but it was one of the best pizzas I'd ever eaten. To be fair, this was after a long period of avoiding pizza altogether. I'd had a horrible case of food poisoning, and for over a year the only pizza I ate was the one my mum cooked.

Onion with tuna and salami. Plus, idk If this pizza exists outside of Italy but I really like "pizza ai quattro formaggi", which is basically a pizza with four different types of cheeses on top. Yummers
