I read on the post that ties are ideal but could you use a rope like in the complete one?

just get a nice cotton rope. it doesn't need to be super strong for partial anyway, and it will feel comfortable on your skin.

That's a good idea. I think any kind of rope, like jute, would work as long as it's flexible and sturdy enough. Make sure to test it beforehand, the ligature breaking would be the last thing you want, could result in brain damage. I think it should be quite sturdy because your body with thrash around unconsciously. I don't think a tie would holdSimilar threads
