I woke up this morning to a phone call from my best friend's mum. She found it by going to my old house and getting the info from my previous landlord. I could feel the pain in her voice as she said, "Hello" I already knew what the message would be.
I knew that my friend had spent some time here before, and I wasn't sure if he had been here recently, as she said he had taken his life two weeks ago. I knew he had made some connections with some people from here, as he was talking about them to me over Discord and said he had some feelings towards them and wanted to visit them at some point in his life; I was just wondering if I could find someone here that my friend had made contact with or not. He had been reticent for the past month, and It was tough for me to reach him; we had known each other for almost 12 years; I never had a friend bond with someone like that before.
He has mentioned to me a couple of times over the past years that one day, he would take his own life due to the mental health issues he was going through. I did all I could as a best friend to try and help him, but most of the time, it did not work. I will mention some usernames I know he would use, and maybe someone would be able to recognise them. I will also include his Discord and Steam profiles just in case someone recognises those.
If I can't find anybody, it is what it is. I want to know who he contacted and what was said. As I said, it was impossible to reach him. We talked two weeks ago, but it was small talk, and he went offline afterwards. I asked if he wanted to voice chat, but he had not replied.
This is the first time in my life that I have experienced someone as close as my brother taking his own life; I hope you understand my need to find out more.
