Discussion Benzodiazepine and Alcohol (Hypoventilation)

Hi, this is my first thread. I've been having intrusive thoughts about whether alcohol and benzodiazepine use in certain doses actually causes respiratory depression. What do you think the process would be like, would it be similar to hypoxia or something else? I haven't been able to use the search feature for these two main keywords, so please excuse my approach if it's not very pleasing.

I tried that. Took a bunch of Xan and a whole bottle of whiskey, i woke up after 24h+ completely fucked and ended up in a psych ward. I don't recommend.

I am no doctor but it will probably cause respiratory depression. Now whether that leads to CTB and at what dose depends on a few factors but I believe generally speaking it is not a very effective method for CTB.
