Being envious of a tree

Do you sometimes look at a tree and envy its simpler life? But then again, it can suffer too: experiencing a drought, being struck by a lightning bolt, being felled by humans, etc. So better to not have been at all.

I love trees. But then, humans don't tend to be very nice to them and you can't exactly run away.
What tree would you be and where? I love water so, a weeping willow would be nice. Somewhere remote though. Don't want children climbing over me or dogs peeing up my trunk. I suppose all animals scent mark though...
Trees are neat, they're all magical and stuff. I like how cozy they look inside when a bird flies into one and chills in the cover of all the leaves. Tree houses are cool.
