The other day, I was driving with a friend, and she mentioned a hiker who was found dead on a trail nearby. He had killed himself. I asked a few questions - how? how long was he missing? sure it wasn't a murder? These didn't arouse any suspicion. But then I said "I wonder if he killed himself at night, looking at the stars..." This immediately raised a red flag. She said only someone who wants to commit suicide would say something like that - would think along those lines. She's totally right. Nothing came of it, but had I said that in front of the wrong person, it could have caused a lot of problems for me.

So just be careful if you want to keep your plan to yourself.

Thats interesting. Somehow my family is starting to become aware that I might ctb, Its as if people can feel when you are close to leaving this world.

I think even if you dont say anything suspicious people will start to notice you becoming more and more suicidal, even if you appear happy all the time
