Accountability, I never thought I'd come to hate a word as much as I have. Its probably my least favorite word in the dictionary. I cannot stand how regular people with well adjusted lives, can look at someone who's lived a lifetime of pain, who's been betrayed by the people who were supposed to raise and protect them, someone who was beaten, abused, tormented, and put through dire straits for the majority of their life, who's had their brain irreversibly shaped by mental illness and trauma, and tell them to "be accountable." What if someone is no longer in control? What if someone genuinely cannot control how relentlessly their thoughts assault, demean, and torment them?

I see this with every illness, even people who have genuinely lost touch with reality, like Schizophrenia, that they need to be accountable, that every action they take is theirs and theirs alone, and they need to live with the consequences of it. I think its genuinely disgusting, and I cannot even work up an ounce of respect towards someone who holds such a close minded, dismissive belief.

Not because of what they're saying is untrue, causality is real, actions beget consequences, no matter how unfortunate the circumstances are.

But rather because in our shoes, these people would crumple to their knees, and scream, in seconds. I'd like to see how long a person would claim to be accountable in our shoes, before they shove cold iron between their teeth.

No one is perfect - Most of these people just join on the bandwagon just look at the hate people like Sulli, Caroline Flack and now Phillip Schofield got you would think that they are perfect themselves. Let who without a sin cast a stone (hypocrisy at its finest)

It probably hits an awkward spot, but thinking in general, responsibility has been of great benefit to humans in terms of survival.

" Humans" I heard some of them are being referred to as "baboons" by their mate but also the mate referred his mates as "bveni" and "avatar"you see how people with good hearts are and those who don't put other people down.. Amazing! I understand why they judge others because they are so perfect…

💯 agree. This market-based logic means every individual must track all the ills they give out. Of course, like real debt, no one cares that others owe you a ton, including their b0rken-ass society...

And the more power you have, the more ills you get to dish out

It's funny, this has been a coping mechanism for me as well.
I think "Well, I went through all this and haven't given up and died quite yet. I've outlasted others. If a normie had to live as I do they wouldn't last a week. That has to be worth something, at least.."

I admire the way you feel, and wish I could feel the same way. I instantly defeat myself and stew in despair knowing that they don't have to suffer the same way I do, that they're able to plow through life with relatively little effort. That I was wading through neck high water while they walked on land next to me, that I was born in a world that wasn't made for my kind, and directly opposes us.

The accountability argument is made by people who were lucky enough to never go through a debilitating mental/physical illness, didn't experience trauma, or whatever it may be that could push a human being to want to leave. I simply dismiss those people as inexperienced and ask them to remember their opinion when they eventually do need to CTB. Even under perfect life circumstances, every single one of us will seek suicide, we all age and eventually become sickly.

If I were a cruel man, I'd wish to be there when their life does go sour, just to ask them to show some accountability. :)

You cannot fathom how much this relieves me. I have never met someone who won't stop boasting about accountability who has hardly known suffering.

I'm glad friend. Makes me happier to read that. I wanted to reply to your other thread but ended up with a giant paragraph, I feel as if I can draw many parallels from your story.

I absolutely relate to this. My stepfather constantly talks about accountability all the time but the man does not go through and suffer with the several mental illnesses I have. One can't just "say a mantra" to eliminate their bipolar disorder or "tell the voices to shut up" with D.I.D. People like that just are lucky enough to have not experienced the things a lot of us here have, so they're out of touch and honestly, it's best to pay them no mind.
