Azide worry

Hi,
I just ordered some azide in the mail.
I am a big worrier so can this explode or cause harm to the mailman? I don't want to raise suspicion in my country but going and picking it up myself was too big of a hassle because it is being shipped from my neighbor country.

Theoretically, it shouldn't. The bottle is closed and if yours is like mine, there will be a layer of plastic wrap all around it.
