Hello there,

I've been following this for some years. While it sounds good in theory, in practice it's more or less a grey zone since there is no legislation/laws on that, just a ruling from our highest court.

That means currently the decision if an individual gets approved is down to one of the three organisations in Germany that help in this matter – and their criteria are not transparent.

From what I've heard though, DGHS is the one that's closest to acting according to the court ruling. I am considering applying to them, but am pretty sure I won't be approved since I don't have a medical reason for my wish.

technically the court ruling would also allow for self-planned ctb.

To get this to stick, you would probably need a "Notarliche Beurkundung" of a "Vorsorgevollmacht/PatientenverfĂĽgung" + (and this is very important)- a "Facharzt-Gutachten", that confirms you are able to express your free will, so the entire creation of the PatientenverfĂĽgung won't be deemed null and void.

there's mainly two things opposing here, while no explicit laws currently exist; 1. the ruling of the court, granting you the right
2. the mentally ill laws, which are designed to prevent harm, so you can be put on hold and be stopped with any attempt, if you don't have a very explicit PatientenverfĂĽgung like I discussed

I tried to access assisted dying services here in Germany, but never got a real message other than very nonsense or sharing a suicide hotline. They mostly accept seriously ill parents around 50 or older. Probably because they can charge them more easily.
It's mostly a scam imo with expensive memberships. Several people have officially complained about these organizations.

I have now spend the small amount of money I receive from government aid in the CO method, and just to be safe, I'll also buy some SN with anti-vomiting medication.

Euthanasia should be simple and legal. Offering something like pentobarbital as easily as shampoo in stores would be the right way.

yeah, most of these orgs charge really high prices, just to also state that they will keep the money regardless of if they will grant you euthanasia...

Like I said, you should be able to self plan if you do as I described in my above message (the court ruling should allow for exactly that). (that would perhaps take a bit of the risk away [although in practice may be more risky, but idk])

Is there any legal way to get SN in Germany btw.? As far as I understand the law from researching it, I think SN is only illegal to sell to individuals without obtaining a valid reason for usage from them(?)
I have seen posts however of people mentioning that it may also be illegal to possess if obtained through such illegitimate means
