Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hi all, I'm going to write a blog to promote assisted dying, and want to make it effective and readable. I know people might not want to read it. How do I make it engaging? Anything I should link to?

It will only be readable if it's about someone with a terminal illness and even then the pro life folks will rip it apart. Ask if you could link it to a dignity in dying organisation. Good luck xx

I really don't understand why grown adults can't be permitted to choose to die. So many people suffering. A nice lethal injection would end the misery. Let me say goodbye properly. I'll do what I can with the blog

I’m done here. Zero connections. Won’t miss it.
Do you mean assisted suicide for everyone? I do agree with the concept but I also think there should be fairly strict rules regarding who should be allowed to be killed by the government. I'm a firm believer that a lot of people who think about suicide, are not very serious. That's fine! Honestly it is...but there needs to be some sort of system to vet out the people who are temporarily struggling, and who is permanently struggling. I'm not acting like I know that system...but I have no doubt that there is a portion of people who THINK they want do die, but don't...so if we allowed people to come in for assisted suicide, then there needs to be a pretty solid system in place. As much as I love the suicide booths in the show "futureama"...we would lose so many people who would of changed their minds in like 24 hours.

In Netherlands and Belgium, AS is offered to mental sufferers if they follow certain criteria. And they can say no even at the very last minute and the procedure will be ceased.

It's legal where I'm from in Canada too, but these are the requirements:
In order to be eligible for medical assistance in dying, you must meet all of the following criteria. You must:
be eligible for health services funded by the federal government, or a province or territory (or during the applicable minimum period of residence or waiting period for eligibility)
generally, visitors to Canada are not eligible for medical assistance in dying
be at least 18 years old and mentally competent. This means being capable of making health care decisions for yourself.

Talk to them about it. You may qualify. Those are the guidelines but it's up to doctors discretion. That's the kind of trust we lay In Doctors. We can give them guidelines, but they don't have a checklist that can apply to every person. We are individuals!. You are an adult, if you can make a solid case, they might be more willing to accept your request then you think.

Don't fear that. Psych wards are for people who are in immediate danger, and the only way to save them from themselves is to lock them up under constant medical supervision. A meeting set up with a doctor, where you lay out your feelings in a rational manner, and justify your cravings...it gets met differently. If you calmly and rationally explain to a doctor you want to die, they can't commit you, because you are not being unreasonable or showing signs of panic. They need a reason to commit you. Just wanting to die, isn't enough, you need to show major instability for them to get legal backing in throwing you in a ward. If you come at them calm, cool, and collected, they have no legal ability to commit you to a psyche ward.

It's ok. Our country actually has lots of resources, including one that can lead to what you want...you won't know if you qualify until you try. They can not harass you, you know that right? The second you tell them I don't want to talk to you anymore, they would be committing harassment beyond that. Call them, if you don't qualify, then continue your journey...if you do, well, problem solved.
