I also live in Canada. I've had a few wellness checks happen with the police as well. They will only come back if someone reports a concern about you harming yourself again to them. So be careful what you tell people. Your treating professionals will likely get notified, especially if this is for mental health problems and you are connected to a psychiatrist. The file number will always be in the system. I've had file numbers from 18 years ago that the police can still see when they do a check on me in their computer. If you didn't go to the hospital for mental health/suicide reasons, there shouldn't be a flag coming up in your name when you do go next to the hospital. However, if you do end up being hospitalized for mental health reasons, my experience is if you return to the same hospital, the nurses and drs look at your file in the computer and start talking to you like you're a seriously ill mental health patient. They disregard your medical concerns sometimes because they think you're mentally ill. Take care and hang in there.
Be careful about calling crisis line and what you say to them. I called the crisis line and in 15mins, there was a knock at my door and it was the police. I have not called the crisis line since. I do not trust them. They can find out your address without you telling them and even if you call from a blocked caller ID. I don't know how they do it. But that was my experience. Yes, the police come at all hours of the night. Even if you live in a apartment and require to be buzzed in, they'll turn their sirens off when they get close by and buzz your neighbour to get in. Ive had it happen to me.
