I'm watching Attack on Titan clips and that quote feels so powerful. In the clip, the character who says it drops the facade he'd created and goes through with his original mission. The distractions and temporary good times of life are a kind of facade. The fact of the matter is that it's all a coping tool and that eventually one has to turn back to the main road that leads to the end no matter how uncomfortable it feels, either by choice or through being forced by circumstance. That's the message i pulled from it.
