Have you solved it now or are you still struggling? I'm postponing my date because there's too many people and no good areas I have access to right now

Remember it's good to be sitting when doing this. Or standing up depending on if there's people around to hear the thud when you drop.

I've been sitting up, propped on three pillows. It's always enough to make me black out and stuff, but only works for a little bit because I wake up a little afterwards, the buckles probably loosen up

cable keeps loosening after 5 or 6 seconds pull and i can't seem to secure it using cable tie. but i do felt cable tightening itself after pulling. if i can secure it without loosening this thing will work.

should i use electrical tape?

I think that the cable shouldn't be too thick and also the cable ties used should be thicker too and not thin… you're still doing test runs no? Did you tighten the cable ties enough? Make sure your testing against some cylindrical object similar size to your neck.

The main thing is to secure anything from loosening. If that means using multiple cable ties or something then yeah…

Maybe my method is flawed and I have to go back to the drawing board. I've only done a few test runs so far but not all the ones I specified because I can't find a private space to myself
If the tightening of cable ties secures the knot and nothing comes loose, perhaps in the actual run, if you bring the knot 3-4 inches near the front of your neck, maybe then you could secure the cable ties and then pull so that the knot lands and tightens against the upper neck. No discomfort on the neck (because padding) and breathing because the thick cable will target the carotids and jugulars more than applying pressure on your trachea.

Idk I'm just thinking aloud.

@anagram i tested it by pulling with my hand. i made the noose as if i'm really hanging. you're right i did use thin cable tie. the half knot is good for cable type but it is hard to secure it. i also used TV cable. i did my best to tighten them but somehow these ties loosens.

i feel ties are for cables that doesn't move. in our case the cable moves to tighten by that it overpowers the cable ties. i think half knot is perfect but it has the high risk of loosening.

This method sounds risky then. I think it's back to the drawing board then. Need to come up with something else and experiment more.

I think I'll do my own experiment today because I'll have space soon. If it's successful, I will update on the steps and instructions.

I'm contemplating using some sort of thick cotton rope to make a knot to secure the half knot of the cables. Sort of to simulate the cable ties. Because with zip ties, there's no going back can't loosen because of the self locking mechanism.

If it's successful I'll also add pictures.

i use tightly rolled up socks, pressed up against my arteries, and i have them secured under the cord. everythubg is pretty much pushed agaibst the arteries and i black out so i know i do it right. the cables are tight enough to make me woozy but not enough to make me pass out. i tie a shoe lace over it all with a pen to tigthen it up enough so i can start to use it tourniquet way.

So tomorrow I'm going to CTB but that doesn't matter, I'm here to tell you the method I'll be using

So here's the outline of the method:
1. Find some sort of thick cord. Thick as an Ethernet cable. I'll be using an Ethernet cable for this. Something that's firm and strong and has friction. Any sort of thick usb cable is good. If it's thick, this means pressure reaches deeper to carotids and jugulars.

2. First do a half knot and tighten it fast so the knot lands near the Adam's apple. If it's working, your vision will fade and your hearing will get muffled and strange if done right but most importantly, you'll be able to breathe. This means that the cable is a good fit. You'll also notice that the cable doesn't loosen against your neck, that's because of friction and that's an aid.

3. Now to secure this half knot from loosening, right in the middle of the knot, use a cable tie and tighten it against the midpoint of the knot. Tighten it enough to the point where the knot won't untie and loosen but also to the point where you can pull and it will tighten while the knot doesn't come loose. More tighter = more secure and safer

Now, when you pull, the pressure against your carotids will be sustained and won't come loose because the knot is secured. Note that when you pull to tighten, it will now take extra force.

4. Tighten as you usually would without using a cable tie and you will black out. And within 10-15 minutes you will be dead. Do this in a secluded area with no people by the way.

You can also do test runs with test materials. Because it's hard to cut cable ties. So to test the security of half knots, just get a material, tie a half knot BUT NOT AGAINST YOUR NECK and when it's tied, use cable ties to tighten the midpoint of the knot to secure it from loosening and untying and then pull.

If you're doing it correctly, you will pull and the pressure will be sustained. You can only pull and the pressure will only be more and more without anything coming loose. You can't go backwards, so be warned and do test runs.

Test runs:
1. Testing materials on your neck to check if it's comfortable and doesn't obstruct breathing and if it makes you black out when tightened.

2. Testing securing the half knot with cable ties so doesn't loosen.

You can experiment doing this with the knot on the front or back of the neck. I think I'm sticking to doing it at the front.

If you use a thick material, carotids will be easier to close as the pressure will go deeper and has more area to be applied to.

That's all, peace!

If I have time, I will show the process and take pictures before CTB and will post. I'll post this thread as a reminder and a bunch of notes on my method.

This is easier and less intimidating than partial in my opinion.

I'm sorry if the method doesn't work for other people, I found it works because I have a thin neck lol. Maybe it'll take more effort for other people
I'm trying this in a few hours, hopefully I can succeed. Good luck tomorrow as well :3

Quick update it didn't quite work, but maybe I didn't do it correctly. At this point I might have to try jumping from somewhere.

I don't understand, I can't compress the arteries enough, I tried various techniques such as putting on socks and tying them first with a television cable and then with a scarf and then both, the pressure had become so strong that it was annoying even if I could still breathe but apart from the feeling of light-headedness at first and then pressure on my face and some sensations in my ears and head I couldn't have blurred vision, reduced hearing and I didn't feel like I was about to faint, yet in my opinion I had reached 3-4 kilograms of pressure which should be sufficient.

The feeling of discomfort at certain moments was not that much less than that of suffocation in a plastic bag which is the method I am trying to replace.

I even tried with the tourniquet at the end but nothing.

Maybe I have strong neck muscles or arterial walls? But it's absurd, my build is thin even though I've put on weight lately but that doesn't mean anything.

It's back to the drawing board. I'll figure something out and test it. This method doesn't work because when tightening, the cable ties have to move and the cable ties prevent that it's like weird. Tying something thick around my neck using regular knots sounds appealing though
