No--nothing but 'sorry but I can't go on without her' and financial info, plus my Will and Final Exit books will be out--Want to make it easy for Patti's brother, who is executor of my Will--Only my step-mother and my Cousin Pam will be upset, and less so now anyway since I'm a depressing person to be around or to be in contact with

I have one typed on my phone notes that I add to here and there, mostly to my wife but includes the other important people briefly too if they have questions. I don't have private access to a printer so not sure how it will wind up coming to fruition.

I feel like I should. But i'm bad at stuff like that. I have a SD card though, filled with stuff to remember when I'm gone.

No one ever read my notes after my attempts, so why even try to make another note? Regardless of if people would miss me or not, the notes are useless for my situation.

I would certainly see it as being for the best to leave a note, as in my opinion it's preferable to leaving nothing at all. A note can act as a form of closure for those left behind and mean that they are less likely to be left with as many unanswered questions.

I've prepared several notes including an unofficial will. Also 2 videos, 1 for my girl and one for parents & siblings.

I'm planning on just leaving a simple "I'm sorry and it's not your fault". Even though it kinda is, I don't want them to hurt even more

Yeah I'm probably going to write out a letter with everything when the time comes. It also gives me time to think what I will write.

Yes. I wish I could be able to have a more meaningful goodbye and dislike bring deprived of that. Though I guess many people are even if not because of CTB.

I thought about it, even had some written up. Then I remembered, I don't even have anyone in my life so who the heck is even going to read it? lol. I know the paramedics and whoever else having to deal with my death won't care other than it'll make thing's a tiny bit easier for them if I explain it's a suicide and what I took but even then I think they still sometimes have to investigate suicides. It really wouldn't amount to anything. Maybe if someone cared but I know they wouldn't.

No note. I already make it clear to my family that I will kill myself one day. That's all they need to know.

I'll probably do it at a hotel or out in the nature. If I do it at a hotel, I'll just leave a note for the housekeeping right at the doorstep to call authorities. I will most likely post something on SS though, maybe a tape documenting my experience. If I do it in the nature, I'll leave nothing behind.

For my family - I have prepared all of my important documents and put them on my desk with the note "Open this". They'll find it as soon as they get the call. Or if I get reported as missing and they go through my room. But I'll not leave any real words behind for them.

I do wish I could schedule a text to at least one friend, but texting them in real time is indeed way too risky. Getting a throwaway phone and SIM card should do the trick though.

I want to leave videos more so than notes since most people I know are tierd of my long messages and don't read them usually, they don't like reading in general. I think maybe videos would be easier for them, but I'm also kinda ugly so I don't know if anyone would bother watching the videos either.

I know I will. I guess I want to be heard. And I do want to let one or two people know how much I loved and appreciated them. I don't want anyone to feel like they could have done something or that they had anything to do with it.

No vengeance notes. There's a couple of people I'd love to say a few things to, but it's not worth the energy.

I'm thinking about making a general goodbye video with some explanations and apologies. Then I'll make some more, shorter, videos that are personalized to a few specific people.

Just logistical things like wills, assets, funeral etc. And also letting them know it wasn't their fault etc. Try to leave as quietly as possible

Yes. I'm likely going to go the delayed email route though. I've heard that sometimes written notes are kept by the police as 'evidence' and not passed on to loved ones.

Thinking I might set up a delayed email to my solicitor with my separate notes as attachments- they'll need to be contacting those people anyway. Also worth bearing in mind that email providers (possibly) scan emails- so might be worth avoiding words like 'suicide' in the main body of the email.

I would also hand write a note for the police to say this was a purely self inflicted act- so they can hopefully rule out foul play quicker.

Last night I updated some of my letters. I've been writing and updating this every couple of months since the end of 2020.

I guess I want to leave something behind, explain some things. Even though experience tells me people will misunderstand regardless. It will be my last attempt at explaining. I want it to be succinct. But I can't get it right. So I keep re-writing.

I have some postcards that I can address to individual people. But I would make those closer to the actual day and just have a very very short message. In that way people will have something personal they can keep for themselves.

I'll just specify in a little note that it was my decision to CTB then I write some info like stuff about my student account for uni so I get deregistered or something like that. Nothing sentimental

i don't think so. i wrote a note for my family and friends but i think it's bad for them because they'll try to pick it apart which could make it harder to move on. i'll likely only leave a note for police saying it's a suicide but nothing else.

i have a note document in my phone of my last wishes, reasons why, who i want to have what, my wishes for my body, etc. i'm planning on transferring them into writing and leaving them beside me / nearby my body. i don't expect them to be followed or for it to hold any weight to my family, though.
